Campus ChampionLast week showcased the perfect balance between academics and athletics that Michael Tota, captain of the undefeated and nationally second-ranked men’s lacrosse team, has maintained for the past four years. The senior business economics major from Webster, N.Y., who carries a 4.06 grade point average in the classroom, on Wednesday won a prestigious SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence. On Saturday, he became the eighth player in program history to surpass 200 career points. A champion in the classroom and on the field, Michael exudes the student-athlete success recognized during national Division III Week, which runs through Sunday, April 15.
