Campus Champion

Dancing, singing or acting, senior Lauren Puente is equally comfortable on stage. Catch this talented woman, named Outstanding Dance Student for 2013 by the National Dance Association, in several performances this fall, including the rock musical “Rockabye Hamlet” Sept. 27 and 28, “The Rocky Horror Show” on Oct. 11, and, if she receives the callback, as Ghost of Christmas Future in the November production of “A Christmas Carol.” Time permitting, Lauren will sing in the College Singers and Choral Union concerts on Nov. 10 and Dec. 3. Stay tuned for what lies ahead for what’s certain to be a production-packed future.

Campus was brimming with Red Dragon pride for SUNY Cortland's celebration of College Colors Day on Aug. 30. Students enjoyed an ice cream social while scores of campus community members posed for an afternoon photo on the steps of Corey Union. Graduates also joined in the fun by sharing their photos on the Alumni Association's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
