Campus Champion
Residence Hall Director Cyrenius Nelson ’19 helped plan last week’s Black Lives & Liberation Forum that sparked a campus-wide conversation on race between 200 participants. He assisted the administration in supporting students who are coping with the many feelings related to recent killings and the Black Lives Matter movement. Cyrenius helps young people find their voices. He’s been a youth camp counselor, a church pastor and more and he’s working toward a master’s in higher education administration. He envisions a stronger community through unity. “We’ll use feedback from the forum to prepare training for residence life staff,” Cyrenius said. “We’re going to continue to love each other.” Nominate a Campus Champion
