Campus ChampionNobody knows SUNY Cortland football like Dan MacNeill ’79. A four-time letterwinner as a player, Dan has served as the team’s head coach for the past 23 seasons, leading the Red Dragons to 16 postseason berths and six appearances in the NCAA Division III tournament. Dan and his assistants have won numerous awards over the years, including HERO Sports Division III National Coach of the Year and D3football.com East Region Coach of the Year in 2015. As the campus community prepares for the Cortaca Jug game at MetLife Stadium on Nov. 16, let’s thank coach MacNeill for his decades of dedication to Cortland football. The artist’s exhibition of large-scale drawings, textiles and mixed media materials, titled “Beyond Places in Time,” is in Dowd Gallery through Friday, Dec. 6. Her work reflects cross-cultural experiences and draws on her personal story, as she has lived in Korea, Japan and the United States. Currently, she is an associate professor of art at Georgia College.
