Dear campus community,
I wanted to share a reminder about SUNY's COVID-19 booster policy for students as well as information on upcoming clinics in the Cortland area.
All SUNY Cortland students are required to be boosted as soon as they are eligible. You are eligible for a booster if you received the second dose of Moderna or Pfizer on or before August 4, 2021 or a single dose of Johnson & Johnson on or before Nov. 4, 2021.
The New York State Department of Health is recommending boosters as soon as possible, even if you recently tested positive.
Non-New York residents and those who were boosted in a different state or country must provide a photograph of their vaccination record card through the vaccination submission portal via the COVID tab in myRedDragon.
If you need a booster, please consider registering for through the Wegmans Pharmacy clinic, which opens at 10 a.m. in the Corey Union Exhibition Lounge on Friday, Jan. 21. This clinic will offer Johnson & Johnson, Moderna or Pfizer boosters, as well as flu shots and senior flu shots.
To register:
- Visit the online portal and select “schedule a new appointment.”
- Select the booster or flu shot you wish to receive.
- Enter “01/21/2022” and ZIP code “13045”.
- Click on the “schedule” button and follow the prompts to complete your registration.
You may also use the state's online vaccine finder to schedule an appointment near your home before you return.
Faculty and staff are highly encouraged to get vaccinated and boosted before the start of the semester. SUNY Cortland employees should record their vaccination and booster status through the recorder on the COVID tab in myRedDragon.
The Cortland County Department of Health is holding pop-up vaccine clinics throughout the county through Feb. 5. Information on how to register for these clinics is available online.
Thank you for doing your part to protect the health of our community.
All the best,
Erik J. Bitterbaum
