The women's, gender, sexuality studies minor is interdisciplinary and is designed to complement many academic majors. Administration of this program and advisement for its students is conducted by the WGS Committee, a subcommittee of the Center for Gender and Intercultural Studies. Students completing the minor will be exposed to scholarship focusing on the social construction of gender and sexuality from both historical and contemporary contexts. The minor helps students prepare for numerous careers that are enhanced by an understanding of the impact of gender and sexuality on identity and experiences.
