Memorial Library is your resource for technology and research materials, including books, journal articles, digital newspaper subscriptions, databases, and video. What We Have
Books, journals, databases and more
- Students, faculty and staff can access materials using ONESearch or the Databases A-Z list. These resources require login using MyRedDragon credentials. Items that faculty have placed on reserve can also be found in ONESearch.
- Additional resources and services, such as Design Help, are available to faculty and are described in the Faculty Resources Guide.
- Community borrowers can check out books and request guest credentials in person at The Help Center or can access a catalog only version of ONESearch which does not require credentials.
- Alumni should contact the Alumni Engagement Office for credentials to access alumni database resources. Alumni can also refer to the Alumni Resources guide for additional available resources.
Technology
- Access to the SUNY Cortland wireless network is available throughout the library.
- Students can borrow laptops for in-library use, and the library also has several computer labs as described in the Library Resources guide.
- There are several WEPA printers available to students in the library.
- The Help Center can help with circulation and technology questions such as how to connect to the Wi-Fi.
- Additional items, such as graphing calculators, are also available to borrow, contact library@cortland.edu for questions or further details.
Spaces
- A map of Memorial Library is available in the menu on the right or via this link. This map includes the locations for offices of Advisement and Transition and the Access Technology Lab.
- The Teaching Materials Center (TMC) offers collections, instruction, outreach, and research services to the students and faculty of the SUNY Cortland teacher education programs. The Teaching Materials Center LibGuide can provide you with additional information on the services available.
- The Archives and Special Collections are housed on the third floor of Memorial Library and can be found in the library catalog. Please note that many of our resources have been digitized and are available online through Digital Commons Archives and Special Collections.
- Study spaces such as group study rooms and carrels are available. Please check at the circulation desk if you wish to use these spaces.
- The Bookmark Cafe is located on the first floor of the library and is operated by Cortland Auxiliary Services. You can find information on hours and menu on the CAS Dining Facilities website.
- Memorial Library hosts a Pearson Testing Center on the first floor and this service is not limited to SUNY Cortland students. For additional information, see the Library Resources Guide.
