The Recreation, Parks and Leisure Studies Department administers an interdisciplinary environmental and outdoor education minor and areas of concentration. The minor requires a core of 11 credit hours. Students may also select a track in:
- Environmental Education and Interpretation
- Outdoor Pursuits
- Organized Camping
Currently, areas of concentration are available in the following disciplines:
- Environmental Studies (Childhood/Early Childhood)
- Environmental Health (Health Science)
- Environmental Science (Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Geology, or Physics)
- Business Economics: Environmental Management (Economics)
- Outdoor Recreation Major with concentrations in:
- Outdoor Leadership
- Camp Management
- Natural Resource Recreation Management
- Environmental and Cultural Interpretation
Students interested in one of these disciplines as a minor or concentration must seek approval of their academic advisor.
