Choral Union to Resume Rehearsals
The Choral Union, under the direction of Stephen B. Wilson, Performing Arts Department, will resume rehearsals for the fall semester on Monday, Aug. 30. Rehearsals will be held at 7 p.m. in Dowd Fine Arts Building, Room 108.

American Library Association Honors Hischak
Thomas Hischak, Performing Arts Department, was awarded the Outstanding Reference Book Award of 2009 by the American Library Association (ALA) for his nonfiction work, Broadway Plays and Musicals: Descriptions and Essential Facts of More Than 14,000 Shows Through 2007.

Three Thornton Wilder One-Act Plays at Dowd in December
The Performing Arts Department will present three classic American one-act plays Dec. 10- 13 in a 90-minute program titled "The Long Christmas Dinner and Other Short Plays By Thornton Wilder." The three comedy-dramas will be performed by an all-student cast in the Dowd Fine Arts Center Lab Theatre. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, Friday, Dec. 11 and Saturday, Dec. 12, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 13.
