New Student Accessibility Request
Welcome! You may apply for accommodations, or an access plan, by placing a New Student Accessibility Request online. Students who wish to identify to the Office as having a disability, but do not need accommodations at this time, are also welcome to fill out the request form. If you would like instructions on how to fill out the form, this video may be helpful.
After we receive your request, we will respond to your SUNY Cortland email address with your next steps. If you have provided clear and thorough documentation in your request or to disability.resources@cortland.edu, we may be able to offer an access plan without a meeting. Documentation is not required to place a request, though. In most cases, we will reach out to schedule a welcome meeting to learn more about you and talk about how you can get equal access to SUNY Cortland.
Please be aware that our office follows FERPA and keeps student information private.
If you are new to higher education, you may be interested in how accommodations are different in college. We are happy to discuss this more in your Welcome Meeting.
